.....that perfume has top, middle and base or bottom notes and that each individual oil falls into one or more of these categories? What you smell when you first put on alcohol-based perfumes (which are almost all perfumes) are the top notes which are carried by the alcohol. As the alcohol evaporates, so does the original smell which now leaves you with the middle and base notes. This is why you may have been taught to wear the perfume for an hour or so and THEN decide if you like it as it will most likely smell different from the initial exposure.
Nightingale Spirit does not have alcohol in it so the fragrance you smell initially will quite likely be the same as the day wears on.
